In the name of God Amen. The seventeenth day of July in the one and thirtieth year of the

reign of our soveraign Lord Charles the second by the grace of God of England Scotland ffrance and

Ireland King defender of the faith & Anno Domini 1679. I Samuel Dobyns the elder of the parish

of Newent in the Dioces of Gloucester gent being weak in body yet (praised be God) of sound and

perfect memory Do make and ordain this my last will and Testimt in mannors and forme

following Viz; Principally I comitt my Soule to God and my body to decent buriall , And my worldly

Estate I dispose of as followith. Imprs I give and bequeath to my sonns Samuell Dobyns and

Nathaniell Dobyns the sum of Tenn pounds apiece to be to them and either of them paid within one

yeare after my demase, Item I give and bequeath to my sonne Henry Dobyns the sum of Thirty pounds

to be to him paid within a yeare after my demase. Item I give and bequeath to my Grandchildren

Samuell Dobyns John Dobyns Joyce Dobyns Bridgett Dobyns Henry Dobyns Jane Dobyns Samuell

Horneblow and Job Horneblow the Sum of tenn[?] pounds apiece to be to them and every of them paid

within the space of one yeare after my demase. Item I give and bequeath to my Grandchildren

Edward[?] Lenthall Thomas Lenthall Elizabeth Lenthall and Jane Lenthall the sum of five pounds

apiece to be to them and every of them paid within a yeare after my demase. Item I give and

bequeath to my sonne Guy Dobyns and my Grandson Samuell Dobyns all my Table boards ~/ /~

Bedsteads Cupboards Chairs stools benches foorms Sider mills with tha--tena--- my iron furnace

my Forks my iron plates -- B-r-s my iron C---- -- S----- in the Kitchen together with all my Casks

vessells bowles and wooden --- and all other my standards whatsoever to be and remain in and

about my now dwelling house as Stand--- there. Item I give and bequeath to my said Grandson

Samuell Dobyns all my sh--- or part of the ------ harrows plow---- and implemts of husbandry

about my said dwelling house and lands. Item I give to the poor of the parish of Newent aforesaid

the Sum of Three pounds to be distributed amongst them in manner and form following, that

is to say Twenty Shilling thereof amongst twenty poor widows therein and the other forty shillings

amongst four----- other poor familys therein, Item all the rest of my goods Cattle Chattells ~//~//

household stuffe and implimts of household (my debts and legarcys being paid and my funerall

expences discharged) I give and bequeath to my said sonne Guy Dobyns whom I do make and

ordain whole and sole Executor of this my last will and testamt, And lastly I do hereby renounce

all other wills by me formerly made and do make and declare this to be my last will and testamt

In witness whereof I have hereunto putt my hand and seal the day and yeare aforesaid

Memorandum that I Samuel Dobyns of Compton in the p’ish of Newent county of

Gloucr Do here …… unto my son …….Dobyns of the p'ish of ……. in the

County of Hereford the sum of twenty pounds

Him and his two children by this my last will being in the whole the sum of fifty

Pounds, being thiry pounds to …….. and ten pounds ……to ye two children

Henry Dobyns and Jane Dobyns. Witness my hand to this …… the day
