I Nathaniel Dobbins of the parish of Newent in the County of Glouc.
Gent being in health of body and of perfect mind and memory (blessed be God) yet calling to
mind the uncerainty of my life And the certainty of my death Do make and declare
this my last Will and Testament in manner following. And First and principally above all
other things I Comitt my soul into the hands of my maker hoping to have it saved in
and by the meritt death and suffering of my Lord and saviour the Lord Jesus Christ. And
my body to the Earth to be decently buryed by my Executor hereafter named in the
parish Church of Newent aforesaid, and as for my temporall Estate which God of his
--- hath lent me[?] I dispose thereof as followeth First I give and bequeath to
the Ministor of the parish and parish Church of Newent aforesaid that shall be there living
at the time of my Demise[?] the sum of Tenn[?] shillings of lawful money of England to
---th my funerall sermon. Also I give and bequeath the sum of Twenty shillings of
like lawful money to be Equally divided by my said ---- amongst the poor of this
parish of Newent aforesaid Imediately after my demase All and singular other my
goods and Chattells and ------- Estate whatsoever not ----- by me bequeathed (my
funerall Expences being paid of and discharged) I give and bequeath --- the same to John
Dobbins second son of my brother Guy Dobbins of Newent aforesaid Gent And I do
hereby constitute and make the said John Dobbins sole Executor of this my last Will and
testament In Witness whereof I the said Nathaniel Dobbins have hereunto putt my
hand and seal this Two and Twentieth day of November in the One and Thirtieth
yeare of His Reign of our Sovereign Lord Charles the second by the grace of God of England
Scotland france and Ireland King defender of the faith -- Anno- Dom 1679
