A fan of colour-graduated veneers set into a satinwood ground, the frame raised on rosewood sabots, with drawer for cards etc. Satinwood has a stunning beeswing figure and contrasts beautifully with the interior blue baize The inspiration for the arrangement of the graduated veneers came from producing an earlier card table, where on inspecting a pack of veneers the leaves were spread out suggesting a deck of cards, a particularly appropriate layout.
