This piece
is based closely on a Chinese period original, the 'giant's arm braces',
in turned feet and raised ends to the top, are all preserved in the
design. There are two drawers in the front, bounded by an ebony border. To avoid the clean lines of the table being disturbed by handles, the drawers are opened by secret catches. Height 34ins. width about 48 ins. and the depth is 15 ins. |
